Meet Our Team

Since childhood, helping people and an inborn sense for business have defined my DNA. When I was 10 years old, I retrieved piles of boxes filled with new address books that had been dumped into a trash bin. It was wasteful and I knew people could use them. So, I organized my friends to sell the books at our neighborhood markets for 10 cents each. When they were all sold, we shared the profits. When my parents noticed my entrepreneurial know-how, they put me to work at our family’s Mexican restaurant in East Los Angeles. Tips that I earned would be my salary, my mother told me. That’s when I learned the value of providing exceptional service.

I gravitated to the world of business and financing – starting with the mail room at Bank of America at its western headquarters in downtown Los Angeles; marketing for Xerox Corporation; and finally, a loan officer at Home Savings of America, where I earned awards for my marketing acumen.

I eventually took the leap of faith to start The Louie Lucero Team, guided by the strong principles and ethics I learned as a boy. It gives me great satisfaction to help my clients because each is unique with different financial needs and goals.

Sports throughout my life have helped me to stay physically and mentally fit. I played Little League baseball; in high school, I was on the swim team and ran cross country and track; later, I competed for many years in tournament-level racquetball. Today, yoga keeps me limber, and long-distance swimming keeps my cardio in check. I still have a personal goal: to conquer the Alcatraz Swim.

A husband-and-wife team, Louie and I never stray from our mission to work relentlessly to help our loyal clients meet their financial and real estate goals. Our combined talents are the secret to our success: Louie’s invaluable wisdom gained from many years in mortgage consulting and financing, and my penchant for running an organized office. I spent umpteen years as the calm right arm to executives in the fields of academia, engineering, management consulting, and law, as well as overseeing the attorney recruiting program at an international law firm.

We put a premium on personal service and trust – because we care. We also take pride in sharing that our long client relationships have resulted in helping generations of families.
